Dorfhotel and Iberotel go carbon neutral
Since the beginning of the year 2012 guests at Iberotel and Dorfhotel in Germany enter an area of climate protection. The hotels of the World of TUI brands in Boltenhagen, at Fleesensee and on Sylt fully compensate their CO2 emissions.
In this connection the hotels are working together with the Myclimate foundation. The compensation funds will be used to sponsor climate protection projects throughout the world targeting renewable energy and energy efficiency for ensuring a sustainable development, for instance a wind energy park in Turkey or a hydroelectric power plant in China.
Castelfalfi Resort in Tuscany
TUI Resorts & Hotels, a subsidiary of TUI AG, Europe's leading tourism group, has started the construction of the first phase of the Castelfalfi Resort in Tuscany. Construction work has begun at the end of a development and licensing phase which took several years.
Tenuta di Castelfalfi belongs to the district of Montaione, and is situated in the centre of the magical triangle of Florence, Siena and Pisa.
