Dedication– enthusiasm
You deliver excellent performance on your own initiative while demonstrating consistency. You also demonstrate a high level of commitment and perseverance. You are open to new ideas and seek novel solutions for problems. You are not content to stick to the objectives for their own sake but are keen to redefine limits and set new quality standards.
We are looking for graduates who have engaged themselves in projects next to their studies without taking monetary benefit but personal benefit out of it. Personal benefit that let your personality develop (e.g. supporting elderly people).
Entrepreneurial mode of thinking
You rapidly and reliably familiarise yourself with new issues. In so doing you are quick to recognise interdependencies and interface problems. Your perspective is targeted and result oriented. You look at new problems with 360° vision. In the process you can break down complex matters into their essential components. You make decisions with a sense of entrepreneurship.
Customer orientation
You orient yourself to the wishes and desires of the customer and have the capacity to put yourself in the position of the respective target/customer group. However, you never lose sight of the strategic objectives.
Innovative competence
You solve problems for which you have been given the objectives. In so doing you define the path to be taken while being capable of setting new objectives and defining new tasks. You are able to critically review existing structures, recognise improvement potential and develop alternatives.
Interactive competence
You act cooperatively and yet do not give up your frame of reference “without making a stand”. You keep an eye on the committment of others. It comes natural to you to meet your opposite number with empathy.
Excellent degree results in an appropriate time
A very good grade for an acceptable period of study depends on many factors. To take an extra semester and to have been abroad again is not a KO criterion at TUI.
Fluency in two foreign languages
TUI AG is an international group that is active world wide. Foreign language skills are needed in the course of daily business. There is no corporate language, but German and English are the two most important languages, and fluency in these two is a precondition. On top of this, we expect another foreign language which, ideally, is appropriate for our source markets or destinations.
Practical experience
Practical experience in your main field of activity is absolutely essential as you have to start working straightaway from day one without a long induction phase. We place considerable importance on practical experience, especially in the case of graduates with non-commercial or non-business related degrees. Evidence of two practicals of at least 2 months duration must be shown.
Experience abroad
You have gained experience abroad during your studies. With this we don't simply mean on holiday. Although these do indeed broaden horizons and increase awareness of other cultures, living, working or studying in another culture is another dimension. And we are seeking this other dimension. You should have studied at least one semester abroad or completed at least a six-months internship abroad.
