Diversity charter
The “Diversity Charter” is a fundamental expression of fairness and esteem for people employed in companies. By signing the Charter in May 2008 TUI AG is committed to creating a working environment which is free from prejudice and exclusion.
For us as an internationally active tourism and logistics enterprise the recognition of globalisation and demographic change is an important part of our corporate success. That is why the diversity of the human world is reflected in our workforce and why we live out this diversity not just as documented on paper and in agreements but in the reality of everyday life. By doing so we relate to all people, whether healthy or ill or disabled, of whatever skin colour, ethnic or national origin, of whatever religion, gender, sexual orientation and of whatever age.
The “Diversity Charter” was initiated in December 2006 by Deutsche BP, Daimler, Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Telekom in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Maria Böhmer, German Minister of State and Federal Government Commissioner for Integration. Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel is the Charter’s patron. Now more than 200 companies support the initiative for tolerance and fairness in corporate culture.
