Dr Bernd Kaiser (41) will be responsible for TUI AG’s restructured Corporate Finance department as of 1 May 2009. He thus succeeds Peter Ganz, who changed to Hapag-Lloyd AG as CFO at the beginning of the month. Kaiser will retain his function as Director Group Development. Mergers & Acquisitions will be incorporated in Finance and managed by Kaiser. In this function he will report to TUI CFO Rainer Feuerhake. As Director Group Development, he will continue to report to TUI CEO Dr Michael Frenzel.
Following his graduation from university and his PhD, Dr Bernd Kaiser started his career in a private equity company in 1995 before joining the Mergers & Acquisitions department of the then TUI Group in 1998. In 1999 Kaiser changed to the M&A department of the then Preussag AG and became Director M&A in 2001. In 2007 Kaiser assumed responsibility as Director of the combined Group Development and M&A departments.
