Players at Hannover 96, the German Bundesliga football club, will continue wearing a smile on their shirts when scoring goals. TUI, the leading tourism group in Europe, today extended its contract as the main sponsor of Hannover 96. “We will continue our successful involvement with the ‘Reds’ over the next three years. Football stimulates emotion, enthusiasm and passion – precisely the feelings we want to evoke in our customers with our products. At the same time, as the main sponsor of 96 we want to clearly show our commitment to our home city of Hanover and to Lower Saxony,“ said TUI Chief Executive Michael Frenzel. The main part of the sponsoring package involves the jersey sponsoring and a considerable amount of perimeter advertising around the AWD Arena. This TUI advertising presence will be supplemented by mini banners along the long sides of the stadium and a greater presence on the online platform of the club. In addition TUI will remain the main sponsor of the 96 football school.

“We are pleased to be able to continue this trustworthy partnership with Hannover 96 in the seasons to come. Decisive factors in favour of extending the contract were besides the effective communication platform also the sporting success of the club and the bond with the city,” added Volker Böttcher, the top man at TUI Deutschland. By extending this sponsorship the TUI brand now has the longest running association with a football club of all the 18 Bundesliga sponsors. TUI has been the main sponsor since the 2002/03 season.
