Hotels and environmental protection
Customer satisfaction is our highest priority! In addition to safety, hygiene, relaxation and comfort, one of the most important qualities of a successful holiday is environmental quality. TUI hotel companies, the hoteliers of contracted hotels, incoming agencies, TUI Service and TUI tour operators work closely together with TUI AG Environmental Management to ensure that our hotel guests enjoy outstanding quality across the board.
A near term goal shared by all cooperation partners is the maintenance of bathing water and beach quality, animal protection in the vicinity of hotels, and the phased reduction of environmental impact through small systematic steps such as improvements in eco-efficiency (energy consumption, water consumption, waste avoidance, reductions in land use, etc.) in thousands of holiday hotels. One of the long term aims of our involvement is the introduction of realistic environmental standards for water, noise and air to make environmental quality quantifiable. The key role is played here by Environmental Management Systems complying with the international environmental standards ISO 14001 and EMAS.
