The jury: our hotel guests. Since 1996, the market research questionnaire produced by TUI Deutschland and filled in by TUI holidaymakers has included the question "How would you grade the measures implemented by your holiday hotel to reduce environmental impact?" Customers can choose between various grades ranging from 1 = "very good" to 5 = "inadequate". The results of this survey are analysed annually:

In 2004 TUI has changed this assessment for the first time to a complex scoring system which, apart from the customer assessment, takes into account further factors such as environmental certification according to ISO 14001/EMAS, energy, water and waste management. It is valid for brochure descriptions of TUI Deutschland, TUI Suisse and TUI Austria.
