The World of TUI has supported model international environmental, landscape and nature protection activities since 1991 as part of its strategic corporate policy for protecting the environment, conserving nature and upholding sustainable development. This policy also helps us actively find out more about the issues and demonstrate that the Environment is our Business. Funding is aimed at helping local and regional efforts, finding long-term solutions and identifying new strategies which support sustainable tourism development in holiday destinations.
The award stimulates and motivates the winners to push ahead with their sustainable development activities and to build up and expand closer partnerships with the tourism industry. We also honour and support the active involvement of our prize winners with funding currently totalling Euro 10,000.
