Since 1995, employees at TUI in Hanover have been annually supporting a charitable welfare project.
On an annual basis one charitable project is chosen and supported. At the end of the year, management then presents the amount collected as a cheque to the institutions.
To date a sum of around 530,000 euro has been collected for direct help on the ground. The projects receiving support range from life-help groups and all-day schools and lunch clubs for disadvantaged children, through to help for children with cancer and their families.
For twelve months money has been collected at various sales events and promotions. Here the imagination knows no limits – whether sales of old stock of TUI advertising materials, home-made ice-cream and cake tastings, raffles or the generous donations of departments or individuals celebrating a jubilee – bit by bit, the collection tins fill up.
TUI sales promotions are usually held once a month. Dedicated employees often make their own suggestions, which are then realised with a great deal of imagination and support.
