econsense - Forum for Sustainable Development is a German business initiative whose members include leading national and global companies which integrate the policies of sustainable development in their corporate strategies and tackle the associated environmental, economic and socio-political issues.
Joint discussions are held to air the duties and opportunities for sustainable development internally within the industry, and externally on the basis of dialogue with politicians, stakeholders from non-governmental organisations (NGOs), science and the general public. The aim is to elaborate policy strategies to meet the challenges of sustainable development. The forum is interested in stimulating ideas and supporting sustainable development with specific activities. It also furthers the debate on the strategies and responsibilities of industry and politics, and specific options for smoothing the path for successful sustainable development.
TUI AG is a founding member of econsense - Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business, and has therefore made a voluntary commitment to promote the aims of environmental, economic and social sustainability.
