UNWTO - 2nd International Conference on Climate Change and Tourism
TUI participates in the public debate on climate change through its co-operation with UNEP and UNWTO. This debate should also involve the tourism destinations to achieve multi-stakeholder dialogue on climate change.
TUI already participated the first "International Conference on Climate Change and Tourism" that took place on Djerba, Tunisia in April 2003. At the end of this conference the "Djerba Declaration on Climate Change and Tourism" was signed by all parties (governments, the research sector, NGOs and consumers/tourists).
The second "International Conference on Climate Change and Tourism" will take place from 01-03 October in Davos, Switzerland. TUI will actively participate in "Panel 1" (Mitigation in the transport sector).
