Intact nature (biological diversity) is the capital of tourism. When holidaymakers dream of holidays, they dream of natural beauty and nature’s bounty.

One of the main priorities in TUI AG’s biodiversity strategy is protecting the biological diversity of seas and oceans, coasts and islands. This is why numerous co-operation projects with governments and nature protection organisations have been implemented and continued in this context.

YoD complements these perfectly because many of the activities of our customers, and many of the products such as diving holidays, whale and dolphin watching trips, snorkelling trips, etc., directly intrude on the habitat of dolphins, and naturally also other “migratory” marine creatures such as turtles, whale sharks, etc.

Reef Check and TUI

Coral reefs, the most diverse ecosystems in the oceans around the world, are at acute risk. The reef protection organisation Reef Check e.V., in co-operation with hotels, opens up a special research method for TUI customers, enabling them to take part in global reef studies under the watchful eye of experienced marine scientists. more...

Sustainable Whale & Dolphin Watching

TUI worked together with the nature protection organisations Sociedad Española de Cetáceos and M.E.E.R. to design whale watching trips on the Canaries which comply with the principles of sustainability and species protection, and raise the awareness of holidaymakers for this issue with information material and specially trained tour guides. more...
