What you will be doing

TUI has a classic individual contractual relationship with the so-called 'Wholesales Hotels', negotiates seasonal contracts with them and maintains contingents and rates in TUIs own systems. DESTIMO is our central platform for the procurement and handling of such hotel services during the off-season. This currently includes purchasing, pricing, content recording and initial reservations, the seasonal maintenance and adjustment of contingents and purchase rates as well as the handling of booking messages and enquiries. Overall, the vision is: "One Platform for our hoteliers across the group".
 
  • Develop a product vision for responsible systems and elaborate strategic IT roadmap as well as observe the respective tourism IT products and processes in detail
  • Concept goal-oriented, innovative and sustainable IT solutions to support the TUI Group strategy and to eliminate procedural and system-side weaknesses
  • Regional and international stakeholder management, in particular in purchasing, product management, analytics/BI and backoffice functions
  • Actively cooperate with business partners, IT departments and service providers and provide them with creative consulting services
  • Responsible for architecture, technical concepts and design concerning all (functional and non-functional) requirements
  • Ensure goal-oriented IT specifications & acceptance criteria
  • Execute suitable tests for quality assurance, continuously expanding test automation with agile development methods
  • Responsible for the successful implementation, introduction and transfer of IT solutions into operations as well as for the 3rd level support of the IT product
  • Control and implement cross-organizer and cross-source market projects including the necessary billing models
  • Plan and control responsible personnel and material cost budget as well as investment planning
  • Manage and develop assigned employees
  • Negotiate with service providers, recruit external temporary resources and ensure professional integration in corresponding tasks 
 

What we are looking for

  • Academic degree, preferably in computer science, economics, tourism or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of practical experience in hotel and/or tour operator business and understanding of core tourism processes
  • Several years of experience in IT development, very good knowledge of agile working methods
  • Ideally, knowledge of TUI Group's tourism production and reservation systems as well as detailed knowledge of information and communication technologies
  • Several years of management experience, also in teams with a large direct management range (> 20 employees), combined with pronounced social competence, conflict and consensus skills as well as experience in budget management
  • Experience in a complex, international and multicultural environment
  • Fluent English and German skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical thinking skills in complex contexts and conceptual working skills
  • Presentation and moderation skills as well as enthusiasm, resilience and assertiveness
  • Confident appearance in negotiations with external and internal partners in German and English
  • Independent, structured, reliable and solution-oriented way of working combined with a pronounced quality awareness
  • Enjoy end-to-end responsibility for an IT product
  • Willingness to travel
