The pay for each position is determined by its specific requirements. Because of this, some positions are covered by collective wage agreements and others are not, depending on the function within the company. And to ensure that hard work does not go unrewarded, competitive basic salaries are supplemented by individual performance-based payments and numerous bonuses.
